They have partnered with RateMyApprenticeship, the UK’s leading jobs resource for young people seeking apprenticeships, to deliver an exclusive workshop to for sixth form students.
Students will gain valuable insights into the multitude of benefits that an apprenticeship brings compared to pursuing a traditional university degree. They will discover how apprenticeships offer a hands-on learning experience, allowing the students to acquire practical skills and real-world knowledge that are highly sought after by employers.
The British Society of Cinematographers invites you to apply to join them for an industry training workshop at the London Screen Academy. Taking place on 13th & 14th January, the workshop will offer an unrivalled introduction into the Camera, Lighting , Grip & DIT departments for 80 participants, delivered by those already working in the industry.
The workshop will allow successful applicants to develop practical skills to use on set, introduce the roles within the camera, lighting, grip and DIT departments on a variety of different types of production (e.g. film, television, commercials) and build the skills to take on an entry level role in one of those departments. In addition to the training, successful applicants will have access to industry and peer networking opportunities, building a supportive industry community.
Example workshops will include;
• Camera and Lens workshop - practical experience with industry-standard camera systems, and work with various lens technology and formats in small groups, maximising your ability to learn fundamental concepts.
• Lighting workshop - learn about the Magic of Light: take part in a hands-on workshop breaking down types of lighting, lighting fixtures, electrical distribution and their impact on an image.
There are bursaries available to support the costs of travelling to the workshop.

Apprenticeship for a Music Company
This role will be assisting the Digital Advertising Team, as well as the wider Digital team, owning and executing marketing and advertising activities.
The Digital Marketing Placement will be planning, executing, and reporting across online advertising and web. They will be required to take full ownership of any given marketing campaign and work with internal and external teams to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
If you are looking to kick-start your career or make a career change and move into technical operations, HR, marketing, business, journalism or production, a BBC advanced/higher level apprenticeship could be for you.
Advanced/higher apprenticeship schemes last from 18 months to 2 years and you will receive an accredited apprenticeship qualification on completion. Opportunities are available across the UK. You’ll need to be 18 when you join and be eligible to work in the UK. Some schemes have qualifying criteria which are listed in the job description.
