FREE Intro to Cinematography Workshop
If you're interested in a career in a Camera, Lighting, Grip or Digital Imaging department, the British Society of Cinematographers and the London Screen Academy are hosting a practical 2-day course led by leading creatives in the film and TV industry.
You'll get the opportunity to take part in practical, hands-on workshops, develop your technical skills and understanding of departmental roles, and build a network of contacts for the future!
There are bursaries available to support the costs of traveling to the workshop.
Are you over 18, passionate about journalism and able to speak a second language? The BBC Future Voices programme is an exciting six-week journalism training scheme with BBC World Service Languages.
Work alongside BBC news teams to develop your journalistic skills, helping create and deliver quality content for digital, TV, online, and audio.
You will find out what it’s like working in two languages - English and one of the other World Service languages. You don’t need any journalism experience, but you must be passionate about news.
Before the year closes out - Year 13 students have the chance to sign up to the UAL Autumn-Winter schools. This is a series of evening and day programmes to help you prepare to apply for UAL courses, access in depth subject advice and build and develop your portfolio. UAL Insights is their outreach programme offering Global Academy students access to the UAL Colleges for creative activities and pre-university advice.
Applications will be closing on 19 December. You must join the programme before then to benefit from the Insights Admissions processes and have your UCAS application flagged to our Course Teams.
Get £500 if your image gets chosen 💸
International photography platform Photoworks is looking to commission a photographer to create a new image to celebrate the start of 2024. 📸
There's no theme, so it's the perfect opportunity to create a playful, non-conventional image to mark the start of a new year. The final image will be used across their social media platforms, and sent to a mailing list that includes curators, editors, artists and industry professionals!
You'll be paid a £500 fee and get to take over their Instagram with a community of over 54,000 thousand followers.

Apprenticeship for a Music Company
This role will be assisting the Digital Advertising Team, as well as the wider Digital team, owning and executing marketing and advertising activities.
The Digital Marketing Placement will be planning, executing, and reporting across online advertising and web. They will be required to take full ownership of any given marketing campaign and work with internal and external teams to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
If you are looking to kick-start your career or make a career change and move into technical operations, HR, marketing, business, journalism or production, a BBC advanced/higher level apprenticeship could be for you.
Advanced/higher apprenticeship schemes last from 18 months to 2 years and you will receive an accredited apprenticeship qualification on completion. Opportunities are available across the UK. You’ll need to be 18 when you join and be eligible to work in the UK. Some schemes have qualifying criteria which are listed in the job description.
