Work Experience Opportunities
Take Part in Work Experience with BLAST 🎧
We’ve got 20 spaces for Globallers to get a days hands-on work experience and training with Blast Radio on 24th April.
In this workshop day - you’ll spend the day with Suzie Bowerman - an award-winning industry practitioner specialising in audio feature making, documentaries, podcasts and sound design.
This work experience will give you training in working with sound, using radio studio facilities along with binaural technology to create ASMR and binaural listening experiences through to completion.
EastSide Jam offers a unique opportunity for 16-25-year-old musicians, singers, rappers, and poets to collaborate and create new music together!
Dates:
Monday 8th - Wednesday 10th April: 11am - 5pm
Thursday 11th April: 11am - 10:30pm (includes evening live event open to the public)
At EartH Hackney, you'll:
Engage in music workshops led by industry mentors
Learn freestyling techniques for creativity
Participate in jam sessions and compose new music
Record in our studios with industry engineers
Receive feedback and rehearse for the live event
Perform at the live event on April 11th in EartH kitchen.

The Fremantle Work Experience Scheme 2024 will run throughout the year, generally lasting for one week in their London office. This scheme is an initiative for people who want to start a career in the TV industry and to give insight into how our company works.
It will provide entry level experience by shadowing different functions of the company, as well as helping develop the knowledge, skills and contacts that they can take forward in their career on shows like Celebrity Juice, Family Fortunes and MUCH MORE. Applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.

Year 12s can get involved in “Common Ground” - a UAL Insights sponsored photography course with Autograph. The programme explores race and identity and will give you the chance to ork with London-based photographers and UAL tutors, exploring photography and creating your own work which focuses on the concept of being seen within their peer groups, families and wider communities.
The course is free, with travel expenses covered, and includes an October exhibition and open to Year 12 students who meet the eligbility criteria.
The application deadline is April 26, but due to limited availability, we recommend students apply sooner.
